Hello Good Friend,
Today is October 3, 2010
Our summer tour came to an end this past sunday in Fontana, California at the Epicenter Festival.
I wanted to bring you up to speed with what we have been up to this summer as well as all things happening in TAI today.
On the KISS tour, we felt welcomed with open arms, by so many new people who we had never had the pleasure to play for in the past. We are very grateful for this experience and would like to thank Paul, Gene, Tommy and Eric of KISS as well as their manager, Doc McGhee.
We would also like to thank our good friend Samuel L. Jackson for putting in a good word, helping us get on the KISS tour.
This summer was by far one of the best of our lives. We worked very hard and were also able to find time for bonding and brotherhood.
We found ourselves on a bus full of friends who quickly became family.
Our crew consisted of:
Dan AKA Korean Tom Cruise
Steve AKA Bebop
Josh AKA Rocksteady
Spencer AKA Timon
Chris AKA Pumba
and of course…
Brian Frasier, the bus driver (make sure you follow him on twitter @brianfrasier)
These gentlemen were incredibly hard working and we would like to thank them for their daily contributions to making our show possible and making the TAI bus a very enjoyable place to be.
We spent the KISS days hanging out in parking lots with our crew and our new friends in THE ENVY.
They are a great band from Toronto, Ontario and were very like minded with TAI.
We met a real nice guy named Tuvy, he was a redhead, and he was pretty fucking cool!
On days off from the KISS tour we were able to play some shows in some smaller cities that we haven’t come to very often, if we have even come at all.
We played shows in Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Kentucky, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and Arkansas.
These shows were absolutely wonderful for us, and it was a great change of pace to play in some smaller clubs after playing the massive shows with KISS.
It was great to play some of our old favorites, and even better to hear you singing along to them.
We spent our days off on this tour in some of our favorite cities in the country.
The highlight would have to be our days off, hiking the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee and Utah’s Bryce Canyon, as well as a day at an Albuquerque, New Mexico. Poolside, playing classics such as Marco Polo.
I won the hold your breath underwater contest.
We spent our day off in Hot Springs Arkansas (boyhood home of President William Jefferson Clinton!!!) hanging with Sisky’s Grandma, Betty.
We went to lunch and drank beer.
Betty thought that Mike Carden was a real stand up guy.
The Butcher began tattooing on this tour…
He tattooed our good friend BeBop, first in a hotel room in Hot Springs.
He also tattooed himself in the back lounge of our bus, while driving from Salt Lake City and Phoenix.
Today we are in Los Angeles, California, where we have been since the tour ended, working on demos for our 4th studio album.
After this tour, we are feeling very creative and connected as a band, and we will be working daily for the next several months so that we can deliver this new music to you as soon as it is ready for your ears.
We will keep you updated on progress as we go!
We thank you again for all of the support you have shown us.
Do good in school, call your grandmother and enjoy your autumn!
Sincerely,
Adam, William, Mike, Butchy& Michael
